has been practicing law since 1981. She concentrates in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, support, equitable distribution of assets, child custody disputes, and prenuptial and separation agreements. 

Ms. Katz regularly achieves favorable settlements for her clients and when matters are incapable of settlement, litigates for them. Ms. Katz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a past Co-Chair of the Interdisciplinary form on Mental Health and Family Law, a committee of lawyers, judges and mental health professionals focusing on the interplay between law and psychology in child custody disputes. Ms. Katz has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America since 2005 and she has been recognized by her peers as a Super Lawyer and included in the Best Lawyers in New York since 2006. 

Ms. Katz has lectured on family law issues and has served as a facilitator in the P.E.A.C.E. Program, established by the New York State Supreme Court to educate parents about the effects of divorce on children.
